I’m going to break from my tendency to post about music or technology and try to tackle a larger issue.

For most of my teen and adult life I’ve been sickly fascinated by the plethora of rude, crass, inconsiderate men I meet in my daily life. I’m talking about the guys who still continue to call people gay, as if it’s a bad thing. Be careful, they might even call you a faggot if they’re really angry. For them life is all about: tit’s (fake ones are their favourite), beer (MGD/Bud), football (only NFL), UFC fights, tanning beds, gucci shades, 2005 Ford Mustangs, pickup lines, date rape, this list could go on and on (consumption is their favourite pastime.) What really makes me wonder is how these idiots survive the evolutionary process. You’d think they would all die off from STD’s and coke induced heart attacks. But nay, I still have to deal with them in most public places. Luckily, the art gallery’s, buses, and pro audio department’s in this city are virtually vacant of their imposing presence. And they certainly do impose. Men like this seem to have an aura of idiocy that radiates outward at a length of 10 to 20 feet, be careful, it can be much larger if they got “layed” the night before. You can often smell the cocktail of steroids and protein drinks as one creeps up behind you on the street. You spot a hummer from a distance and duck down the nearest alley to avoid the G-Unit beats blaring from the two 12’s in the trunk. “oh no” you mutter, as a pack of them enters the alley at the opposite end. You see, they like to work in packs exploiting the power of confusion and misdirection with their homogeneous fashion sense providing ample camouflage. Much like the zebras of the African plains. But, in this case, I’m not able to tell one from the other since they’re all wearing the same “too tight” parasuco t-shirt. My best advice is to stay off of Granville Street on Friday and Saturday nights. This is what is known as the “numbty” feeding frenzy (ask Pickles? about that one.) Frankly, it’s intellectual suicide down there. Check you’re brains at the door of Caprice…

Ok, I’m really blowing this thing out of proportion by stereotyping the situation. Nonetheless, the cultural phenomenon of male idiocy is prevalent in this city and I’m pissed off about these guys giving the rest of us a bad name. Please, why don’t all of you just fuck off and move to LA where you can graze the pristine cement pastures of plasticland in oblivion until your demise.
