cinch is sad and lonely (not really)

Everyone who is cool went to the Soundwave festival on the island last weekend (in other words, I stayed home for this one.) I’m hoping Sidetrack, Pickles?, or Claire 2 will give us a taste of their adventures out in the techno wilderness. In the meantime I’d like to share a few more photos from last weekend’s mini-tour. I’ve always enjoyed the artistic side to photography and the scenery on the drive from Vancity to E-town provided ample visual subject matter…

In this one, I love the contrast between (almost) in focus and the motion blurred out of focus.
What can I say about the natural beauty of jasper national park.
Again I enjoy the juxtaposition of focus and blur. I also notice the element of natural vs. unnatural.
There are so many things I like about this one and from a compositional standpoint this photo is perfect. All of the various pieces of road travel are well represented. The car, road, wilderness, sky, and destination each have their place in the journey and each have a place in the frame.
