Yo yo yoooo,

The Mutek Edmonton show was a huge success, everything came together nicely and made for a really good time. The mole played a great set as we all expected him to, he really played some totally amazing music. Of course we were all there to support, the danksoul crew (Inkwell and Forafee), Clinker and Wijit, and the Shout Out Out Out Out guys (Nik 7 + Jaycie Jayce). It was really a good vibe, everyone was in good spirits and just happy to play some music to an audience that wanted to hear it. I think mutek would have been proud, and its probably not a bad assumption that this will mean more shows like this will be happening in e-town. And now mutek is coming quicker than ever, with the full lineup posted we are all literally going nuts with anticipation. To those who are making the journey, see you soon.

Now on to new pressing items, Danksoul’s bestest buddy and partner in crime Hrdvsion (Nathan Jonson) will be coming back to canada for a bit and will be playing a show in edmonton (van + vic as well…on other dates) on may 8th of this year.

Annnnnd, Danksoul is doing a label showcase at this years Soundwave festival on Vancouver Island. A legendary west coast haven for good tunes, we are pretty excited for this and can’t wait to show everyone the new material/ideas we’ve been working on. At some point during the showcase there will be two Dj’s and two live artists playing improvisationally together, among other things. In addition there are numerous acts that will keep you shufflin all weekend long.

So get planning, it’s on July 10-12 of this year….
