Last Sunday’s party was a ridiculous smash success. The music was amazing, the visuals looked great, Sidetrack’s banner design was eye catching, the double CD was released, and we had 3 super buff shirtless DJ’s going buck wild to top it all off.

There are so many great people who came together to make this party happen. So I won’t try to list them all for fear of missing someone. Thank you guys and girls, you know who you are.

We’ve got a plethora of photographic and video evidence to come so keep you looking balls locked to this page in the coming days.

From a personal perspective, Inkwell played very well. We had our ups and downs, as usual, but after listening to a recording of the mix the next day I was confident that we achieved something good. As usual the monitoring situation was a bit wack for all of the performers, but speaking as a Live PA artist where excellent monitoring is a must, I wish we could of had a nice stereo mackie setup or something instead of, well, nothing at all really. Don’t worry though, we’re slowly getting used to that situation (unfortunately.)

I was really pleased to see a core group of friendly faces spend the entire night with us in the Lick room. Most of the people I talked to said they didn’t even bother to see what was happening in Lotus or Honey. Pickls? said that we knew we were on to something since some of Vancouver’s techno elite were glued to our performance. That fact makes me feel REALLY freakin good.
