My apology’s for the lack of a post last week. My internet was down for most of the week.

Last night I watched a documentary on the history of LSD. It was made the the NFBoC (National Film Board of Canada) and described the contributions of the doctors and scientists at a psychiatric hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The drug was invented by Albert Hofmann by accident in Switzerland and was originally used to induce empathy in the doctor’s treating mental patients as well as a cure for alcoholism, which I might add it is particularly good at. Drool.

I live practically a stones throw away from the Burrard Inlet which is a passage of relatively calm water separating North Vancouver from Vancouver proper. Having one of these makes sense to me. My family and I used to go on canoe trips in Algonquin park in central Ontario and I will never forget the quiet calm that comes over you while you skim along the waters surface under your own strength. I think it’s time for me to recapture a bit of that experience.

Ouch. This kinda hurts. I knew Daft Punk sampled hard, but come on. Although I’m fairly sure those samples were cleared and the ORIGINAL artist got payed for their hard work. Awwww, Daft Punk, I still love you dearly.
